Successful construction projects begin with a strong project team consisting of the owner, an architect/engineer, and a general contractor. Architects/engineers are trained to provide services and general contractors are licensed to perform their work, but anyone can be an owner. This presentation identifies the following money saving owner objectives:
- What is needed to start a project and select an architect
- Available types of project delivery
- Design process duties of the owner
- Owner duties during construction
- Post-construction duties of the owner
About the Presenter: Joseph Swaika, AIA, CSI, CDT, has 15+ years of experience in design and specification writing for a wide variety of project types. As a Senior Project Architect, Joe utilizes his expertise to guide owners throughout the entire construction process, saving time and money.
Lunch provided immediately following the presentation. RSVP Required. 205.987.7411
