Description: The water filtration plant has a normal capacity of 4 MGD and can be operated using high rate filtration to produce 8 MGD of potable water. Treatment processes include pre-aeration, rapid mixing, coagulation with alum, mechanical flocculation, sedimentation, rapid sand filtration, disinfection, and fluoridation. Settled solids and filter backwash solids are collected in on-site concrete lined lagoons.
