Description: Located on the Alabama River, this project involved the redevelopment of the riverfront in downtown Montgomery, Alabama. The scope of work included relocation of a 30" outfall sewer and the rerouting of several drainage outfalls to provide utility service for the new dock facility. New construction included pile supported concrete bulkheads, steel sheet pile bulkheads, boat docks, restrooms, an amphitheater, pedestrian sidewalks, and other amenities. Krebs' engineering and surveying professionals performed hydrographic surveys of the Alabama River, prepared construction plans and specifications, and prepared exhibits for environmental permitting. The site contained several historical structures which were preserved and incorporated into the project.
